the truth about truths.
Tagged under: Life anecdotes

As much as people say it's always better to tell the truth, I'd say.. not really.

If only one can measure how much do people want to know about truths; How much truth is enough truth? Is it good to be honest about just everything?

Some truths after being told can render us gullible, or bring ourselves humiliation. While some others devastate the situation of some persons, which eventually brings only hurt, to other people.

Again, how does one know which is more hurtful? To tell someone the truth or to hide them of truth?

I think it's true that there's this limit in everyone as to how much truth they can accept, and also a limit to how long can a person keep a secret, how much lies can a person keep telling. Give for example, recently Sathyam CEO stepped down after so many years of covering up for fake accounts, overstating over 1 billion in their financials, plunging their share market to an irrecoverable state. Being one of the giant IT companies in India, how many will lose their jobs due to this crisis? And how many others suffered financial losses investing in the company? Even the CEO himself, declaring such misconduct will definitely lead him to legal suits, right?

But that's that.
Knowing how devastating some truths can be.. One can only keep in the dark this much. As the flow of water start to aggravate.. there goes the dam. Bringing itself and the rest that lies in the way to plunge below.

Was it fair to those people who happened to be in the way, not seeing it coming?
It is not.
