laughter the best medicine.

Somehow i come to realise today that, laughter (as in HAHAHA than HEHE) brings the gap closer between 2 or more people. It's like the easiest thing in common for people to find with one another.. by laughing over the same thing. I mean, it's very rude for someone else to not laugh at all while the rest are laughing right? Even if it's not rude, don't the person who laughed feel awkward when the other person stays placid without letting out even the slightest chuckle?
It's not that i've not known about all that until today, i do..or did.. or been? but it seems like i just come to 'discover' about it again today...
Weird really.
Maybe i'm deprived of laughter or some sort.. I know i definitely laughed more when i was in high school. Perhaps in college too -- who can't, with mae around? But i guess it's not the same now that i'm a grown up, and a bearer of responsibilities, especially towards myself and the future.
There's still so much to laugh about but so little to laugh about that, about being old.

On an unrelated note, i was attending UTAR Mass Call ceremony today and Professor Chua gave his oh-uber-long speech (twice, btw). Although people were falling asleep, me included, I heard one thing he said that made me paid more attention afterwards.. He said,
"...The only fair thing in life that is true for everyone is time. No matter how rich, how poor, how strong, how much authority... everyone has only 24 hours a day to live in. No 1 second more, or 1 second less."
