your vote.
Tagged under: Politics

I've never written anything political, but somehow this time i felt really compelled to by how pitiful the situation in our country is. And it's even more disappointing not to be able to vote for the future of our nation in the coming polls.

Since PM AAB reigns over the country, he's a too many 'First' in malaysia that is sure to be put in the history of shame of malaysia.

I'll start with the first PM to have a landslide victory. The first sleeping/puppet PM. The first PM to give too many empty promises. The first PM with very serious denial complex. The first PM with the worst i-do-not-practise-what-i-preach syndrome. The first PM (probably in the world too) who will ever have to convince his citizens that 'saya bekerja keras' (i work hard). And the list goes on.

It's frightening how marginalism and racism have become more and more sensitive issues over the 4 years. Even crime rate has rose to the extent that it is not safe for anyone, guys included, even under broad day light. Walking in gangs only makes the whole gang, instead of one guy, a target. Last time my parents would say, if you go anywhere, just make sure you don't go alone. Now, you think they're intimidated by numbers? Parang more dai sai (intimidating) ah!

Police forces (who our parents' tax pays) have 'better' use to impose road blocks (that cause bloody massive jams) or shooting water canons or tear gas at people on peaceful rallying than to fight crime. Apparently it's easier mah, since in a peaceful rally, they only inflict harm on people, people usually can't harm them also. You harm police you go under ISA! Take that!!

Worse still, if you can comprehend how much productivity is wasted each time they were to stop these peaceful rally - police using their force on something else, and also roadblocks and traffic jams that caused precious productivity time to be spent stuck in traffic. If 10 person can contribute to 0.01 % of nation's productivity per day in 1 hour, 10 thousand people can contribute to 50% of nation's productivity per day in 5 hours!

And yet, the most despairing fact is the apathy of the majority in the country. Undeniably, many people will still continue voting for BN, no matter malay or chinese or indian, which gives a factor to boast for by the cabinet ministers. Either they think that BN will win anyway, or oppositions will give empty promises, just like BN. So might as well vote BN?

WRONG.

BN will win anyway, true, but the important factor is not for the oppositions to lead the country, but to serve as a check-and-balance for the real leaders of the country, in this case, BN. Anyone who has studied economics would have known that the country's efficiency will only go far if only there is competition. Monopoly creates inefficiency, their main goal solely to benefit the sellers and discriminate the buyers. Equivalently, having more oppositions in the cabinet will serve to push our half-past six cabinet to be more responsible and to care for the rakyat. Just like in the US where their party forces are equally strong, the real leaders are put in a tight competition; they will have to prove themselves to the nation. That's why they are real leaders. Isn't that what we aimed for, to be a first world country? Why not learn from them?

If you think malaysia is doing not bad and could be worse, vote for BN.
I can assure you, the worse will definitely come.
