Mae mae messaged me this morning to tell me that fly fm stole her idea of Singles Awareness Day (SAD), which she posted in her blog some Valentine's day 1 or 2 years ago.
Sad it may sound, but Happy Singles Awareness Day, people! (no pun intended)
Honestly, i don't get why some people can get so upset over not having a valentine on Valentine's day. I think we're misled by the media to think that Valentine's day can only be celebrated between couples. And the whole meaning behind Valentine's day has become overly rated. What with the expensive gifts and especially, roses? If people can only buy roses on Valentine's day, that'd be a different story lah.
Mm.. Must be some market scam to sell things at sky high prices..

Anyways, after class at 10 today, i came back home and slept until 2 something, i received a call from albert. Upon hearing mae's voice in the background.. i kind of knew they were going to ask me to go somewhere.. ..It happens, they were already coming over to my house. (yesh, last minute again).
And i actually dragged myself up (and skipped lunch at home..) and followed them to albert's house... to make...

ICE CREAM!!

We reached albert's place at about 3, ended up watching tv, doing whatnots because it's just toooo comfy in albert's house. Plus, we're spoilt by albert's services.. just only sat down and he served us baskin robins ice cream XD XD! Anyways, mae, jay and albert who went to get the ingredients in the morning and watched Kung Fu Dunk (to catch jay's idol) in pyramid before fetching me, haven't have their lunch yet either, so we ordered domino's and the person told us to wait for 45 mins because they don't have enough people atm. Surprisingly though, they came over within 20 minutes or so, probably because albert threatened them that if they come later than 45 minutes he wants a free large pizza (though not like we could finish 2 regular pizza). Reminder taken. After pizza, it was not until 30 minutes later after an episode of Ouran before we started our original plan...
And i gotta say this. I'm seriously impressed with albert. Whoever becomes his girlfriend sure damn lucky weih. I didn't know he has a passion for culinary.. probably cultivated after he went aussie. There was once he told me he made tiramisu cake.. which i thought he was joking at 1st o.o
PS, I want a boyfriend who can bake me yummy cakes!! (hint hint XD)
But seriously. This was the 1st time i actually hear people make ice cream.. i didn't even know you need a special freezer for it.. lol. Jakun. Albert the chef basically ordered us around, but it was a lot of fun eventhough there weren't much work to do. Alar, if albert will still be around i wanna learn some recipes from him wei!
And too bad, we didn't take picture during the process. Not so vain after all.
The caramel ice cream after we're done with it. Bubbly :D
Not so nice packaging la, but still can eat, i think. Currently still freezing in my freezer.
