Look at the stars.. look how they shine for you..

Such a lullaby. haha.

Ever wonder how far can our sight be?
As in physical sight.. I'm not talking about forseeing the future or anything along that line. I might be a lil crazy, maybe, but i ain't psycho.. yet =)
Anyways.
Try this. Look at the constellation of stars in this infinite night sky and tell me which is the furthest star that you see.
Can you tell?
If you tell me the brightest is the nearest.. Man. Study some science.
By all means, the intensity of light doesn't measure the distance of an object.
A perfect example, look at the sun. And then the moon.
DISCLAIMER: i didn't ask anyone to look at the sun directly kay...
If what we are able to see depends on the intensity of light reflected to our eyes.. Then what we see isn't dependent on the distance of the object from our eyes, is it? In other words, what we can see with our naked eye should be infinite. Provided that your eyes ain't damaged, though.
Never crossed your mind? :P
Aight, you're probably not interested in how far can human eyes see.
Then again, here's something.
You're probably unaware that we are actually looking at various timelines of the past as we look into the sky (though not very far from the present). How so? Take the sun for example, is roughly 150 million kilometres away.. and with the speed of light 3 x 105 km/s taken to reflect light to our eyes, that's roughly about 8 minutes of delay of what we actually see. And as all the stars are of different distances.. It's like looking at different different timelines. Interesting eh? xD
Okay, so maybe you're not interested in this either. Woot! Call me a jakun :D
As for some (guys especially) who figured you could use this to impress some girls with your cooool scientific knowledge.. Don't forget to credit me for it. Haha.. just joshing x)

Anyway, just maybe, you'll have a different feel when you stargaze the next time..
[author's note]
Actually this was just sth random i thought of when i couldn't sleep last night.. I get insomnias pretty often lately i wonder why =/ And if you haven't realised already, i love physics more than any other subs :)
